The second season of Marvel’s animated anthology series, “What If…?” departs from the simplicity of its predecessor, navigating a multiverse-saturated MCU. While the first season reveled in non-canonical, standalone narratives, Season 2 introduces a more interconnected approach, attempting to weave an ongoing plot around diverse, individual stories. Season 2’s strengths lie in its embrace of originality. Episodes like “What If… Happy Hogan Saved Christmas?” and “What If… Kahhori Reshaped the World?” stand out for their humor and boldness, with the latter even daring to tell the story almost entirely in the Mohawk language.
